Rachel Eliza Griffiths exhibition

Rachel Eliza Griffiths

Atelier Jolie presented Guestroom, inviting multidisciplinary artist Rachel Eliza Griffiths. Timed with the release of her memoir The Flower Bearers and curated by Catharsis Arts Foundation, the exhibition transformed the main gallery into an intimate room inspired by Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own — inhabited by her own works, pieces by fellow artists, and personal artefacts from her life.

Jeremy Dennis exhibition

Jeremy Dennis

Jeremy Dennis is a contemporary fine art photographer and enrolled member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation whose staged, cinematic images center Indigenous identity, culture, and the legacies of colonial assimilation. Drawing on Native oral history and pop-culture references, his work reframes the myths of ownership, conquest, and belonging.

The Strangers exhibition

The Strangers

The first in a series of exhibitions conceived by Catharsis Arts Foundation for Atelier Jolie, The Strangers is inspired by Ekow Eshun's book of the same name. Curated by Ekow Eshun and Claude Grunitzky, it explores the psychic landscape of the Black diaspora through works by Derrick Adams, Glenn Ligon, Tavares Strachan, Carrie Mae Weems, Hank Willis Thomas, Beauford Delaney, and Sedat Pakay.
